Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit. ~Ephesians 6:18. Always means in all ways and at all times. It’s not a word to use carelessly; it’s an absolute. Yet some always are ours by perpetual promise. The Lord tells us to always keep His commands and to fear the Lord our God for our good always (Deuteronomy 5:29, 6:24). Psalm 16:8 says, “I have set the LORD always before me.” Proverbs 28:14 says, “Happy is the man who is always reverent.” Paul testified, “I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and man” (Acts 24:16). Jesus promised to be with us always; and we’re to be always abounding in the work of the Lord (Matthew 28:20, 1 Corinthians 15:58). We ought always to pray and not to lose heart (Luke 18:1), and to always do what pleases Him (John 8:29). The Bible says: “Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way,” for He “always leads us in triumph in Christ” 2 Thessalonians 3:16; 2 Corinthians 2:14. So we’re always confident, always having sufficiency in all things 2 Corinthians 5:8, 9:8. That’s why we can rejoice always! 1 Thessalonians 5:16. Take my voice, and let me sing always, only, for my King. Recommended Reading, 2 Corinthians 4:7-11
