Overcoming Power PDF Print
Written by Pastor Olabisi Kufeji

The word for you today from the Throne land of grace is from the book of Job 19:25 which says: "For I know [that] my redeemer liveth, and [that] he shall stand at the latter [day] upon the earth":

Job acquired spiritual hindsight, insight and foresight in his trials and as a result he was able to see that the only power from heaven that will stand forever is the power of our Holy Redeemer our Lord Jesus Christ. In this knowledge of revelation, Job in his spiritual mindset was no longer troubled by his debilitating natural circumstances because he was able to see that even though his circumstances appears hopeless, the abilitating and restoration power of his redeemer is already in place to fix everything that looks broken and perfect everything that appears imperfect beyond his human comprehension or appreciations.

With spiritual insight and foresight, Job saw light in the midst of darkness, prosperity in the midst of poverty, goodness as his potion in the midst of evil, power in the midst of his weakness, justifications in the midst of accusations and life in the midst of death. Job had grace and his accuser had disgrace and by the grace of God that was upon Job every evil device of the devil only worked to the goodness that God intended upon his life.

The Redeemer that Job saw has come from heaven to earth to dwell amongst us so that we can behold His awesome glory upon our lives daily. He is with you in your journey and He will never leave you nor forsake you. His power is above all powers and when all power fails His power is the only power that stands forever because His power is eternal love and eternal light. He loves you more than you can imagine and even before your trials, He has already made room of escape for you. You are in His Holy presence always and He will always be your refuge and fortress.

Today I decree the words of Psalm 91 on your life and to affirm its powerful effects on your soul, all you have to do is recite it with confidence and believe that just as the power of the word worked for Job to set him free from his deadly situation, it will also work for you to set you free from whatever circumstances you might be going through right now to the glory of our God the creator uncreated Holy Redeemer. As you recite it today, I declare that the power of life in the word of God that redeemed Job from his deadly situation and restored him to a glorious position that is in accordance with God's will and purpose for his life, will rise daily to your defence and lift you up above all circumstances to the glory and honour of our Holy Redeemer, Jesus Christ the same today, yesterday and forevermore. (Amen)

Psalm 91

91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

91:2 I will say of the LORD, [He is] my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

91:3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, [and] from the noisome pestilence.

91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth [shall be thy] shield and buckler.

91:5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; [nor] for the arrow [that] flieth by day;

91:6 [Nor] for the pestilence [that] walketh in darkness; [nor] for the destruction [that] wasteth at noonday.

91:7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; [but] it shall not come nigh thee.

91:8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

91:9 Because thou hast made the LORD, [which is] my refuge, [even] the most High, thy habitation;

91:10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

91:12 They shall bear thee up in [their] hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

91:13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

91:14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

91:15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I [will be] with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

91:16 With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.
